Barry is the first to admit that he is not a marathon runner and the thought of doing 66 one after the other is just mind boggling. However the challenge of project directing the event is where he gets excited and trying to bring all the elements together will be as great a mental challenge as running the marathons will be a physical one.
Having been in the military for 27 years Barry has considerable experience in logistics and administration both in peace time and on Operations. He will be bringing all of these qualities together in supporting Andy on his endeavour.
Barry is also aware of the fantastic work that ABF The Soldiers’ Charity does for soldiers and their families and has always been a keen supporter. Indeed through his business connections he has been able to support and promote events.
Barry believes that every Soldier, service personnel and their families should have access to support both during their military engagement and after leaving the services. For soldiers this cradle to grave support is only provided by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and covers from 2nd World War veterans up to those engaged in current operations. He is committed to supporting the Charity and sees this event as not only an opportunity to raise considerable funds to support soldiers and their families but also to promote the fine work it does.
Barry will need help in the organisation of the event and if you would like to be part of the event and offer your support, especially if you live in any of the cities being visited don’t hesitate to register here or call him on his mobile: 07896 916113
